i had a conversation with amy adams tonight in which she asked me point blank why i don’t have a boyfriend. i didn’t quite know how to respond. i think i said: “i’m not a very good dater. if im going to put that much time and energy into being with someone i want it to be someone i really care about and i feel like often times people date people just to have someone there.” a pretty honest answer to give a random celebrity at a dinner party… but it got me thinking. is that the truth? or really am i just scared of that kind of a personal connection? oh amy adams — you have just brought on a world of self reflection.
